Who can facilitate a Be YOU group?

Anyone with knowledge of the LGBTQ+ community or with experience facilitating youth groups can easily implement Be YOU with our support resources. However, we do recommend someone with a background in mental health or social work is available to provide support and guidance to anyone implementing the curriculum. Facilitators should also have a clear plan of action to follow should a crisis arise, and should be aware of reporting requirements related to the limits of confidentiality (e.g. reporting abuse and neglect).

What support exists for facilitators?

We provide plenty of support via our online learning management system to help our facilitators succeed, including: “notes to facilitators” so you can implement each lesson effectively, a 101 webinar with info about working with LGBTQIA+ youth, and instructor videos with sample lessons and facilitation tips specific to the curriculum.

How much does Be YOU cost? How long will I have access to the curriculum?

For an individual facilitator the cost starts at $399 and goes up from there depending on which tier you choose and how many logins you need. Facilitators can purchase a 12 month, 24 month, or unlimited subscription depending on which the price tier they choose (please click here more information).

How do I purchase Be YOU? What payment methods are accepted?

Be YOU can be purchased securely via our online learning management portal via Stripe with a debit or credit card. Please contact hello@beyouinsideout.org if you would like to ask about using a pay order to pay be check.

If we purchase the curriculum, may we call our group Be YOU and use the logo on posters?

Yes! Marketing materials such as posters and recruitment fliers would be available for download via Be YOU's online learning management portal.

Would we receive any printed materials, or only access to them digitally?

The Be YOU curriculum is available digital only. However, the student handouts are available for download and print via the portal.

How will we evaluate Be YOU?

We have developed a simplified way to administer participant surveys. These surveys consist of simple quantitative and qualitative measures which are available for download from our Be YOU learning management system.
